Various factors determine this wine’s quality: it is not treated with chemicals, and the ripe grapes are harvested and selected by hand. The skins are macerated for 14-hours and then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel for 2-months, offering the typical freshness of white wine and the body of Tuscan red wines.
DEDICATION
We chose to name the Rosa della Marronaia after Rosa Bartalini, Silvia’s grandmother, the true matriarch of our entire family. The label features an old 1952 photo, which portrays Rosa with her daughter Luciana (Silvia’s mom) at the beach – an image that encompasses her vitality and zest for life.
SOMMELIER TIPS
Visual Analysis: brilliant deep pink
Olfactory Analysis: a delicate bouquet of fresh red fruit, like cherry and strawberry, with light floral notes and a hint of honeysuckle
Taste Analysis: elegant and soft on the palate with a fresh, dry, and slightly fruity finish. Well structured and balanced acidity
FOOD PAIRINGS
Rosa is the ideal wine for the summer season and the outdoor barbecue. This wine is excellent with red meats, mixed grills, and fresh food like salads and classic bruschettas with Mediterranean herbs. It should be served at 13˚C/55˚F.

This wine is delicious and perfect for a warm summers day ( not that we get many in Cumbria!) or a cold evening by the fire imagining summer ( we get lots of those!) I should have ordered 2 cases in the summer, I was quite disappointed we didnt have any to celebrate christmas – but I can wait for it to come back in to stock – all good things are worth waiting for !
