Crafted exclusively from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the vineyards of Podere La Marronaia, Rosa della Marronaia is a sophisticated rosé that embodies the essence of Tuscany. The grapes are hand-harvested and selected, ensuring the highest quality. The skins are macerated for 14 hours and then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel for two months, resulting in a wine that offers the freshness of a white and the body of a Tuscan red.
Named in honor of Rosa Bartalini, Silvia’s grandmother and the matriarch of our family, this wine carries a deep personal significance. The label features a cherished 1952 photograph of Rosa with her daughter Luciana at the beach, capturing her vitality and zest for life.
Appearance: Brilliant deep pink.
Aroma: Delicate bouquet of fresh red fruits like cherry and strawberry, with light floral notes and a hint of honeysuckle.
Palate: Elegant and soft, with a fresh, dry, and slightly fruity finish. Well-structured with balanced acidity.

This wine is delicious and perfect for a warm summers day ( not that we get many in Cumbria!) or a cold evening by the fire imagining summer ( we get lots of those!) I should have ordered 2 cases in the summer, I was quite disappointed we didnt have any to celebrate christmas – but I can wait for it to come back in to stock – all good things are worth waiting for !
