Crafted from a balanced blend of 50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot grapes sourced from vineyards adjacent to Podere La Marronaia, Pico della Marronaia embodies the essence of a Super Tuscan wine. The grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously selected to ensure the highest quality. Fermentation occurs in cement vats at controlled temperatures between 28°C and 30°C (82°F–86°F), followed by aging in oak barrels for 18 months. This meticulous process results in a wine that is both robust and elegant, reflecting the rich heritage of Tuscany.
A Note from Our Vineyard
The name “Pico” is a heartfelt tribute to Pietro and Corrado, the sons of Luigi and Silvia, co-founders of Podere La Marronaia. Combining the first letters of their names, Pico symbolizes the family’s dedication to preserving and enhancing their winemaking legacy for future generations.

Appearance: Intense ruby red with garnet reflections.
Aroma: Bold bouquet characterized by red and black fruits, mature wood, and notes of vanilla and spices.
Palate: Elegantly structured and well-balanced, featuring ripe persistent tannins and a long, persistent finish.
