Santuccio is a blend of Trebbiano and Malvasia Chianti grapes grown in the Podere La Marronaia vineyard at an altitude of 380 meters/1247 feet. The grapes are harvested by hand and divided according to quality. They are then laid out to dry for about 3 months. In this way, excess water is removed to make for a very sweet wine. At a later date, the grapes are gently pressed and the juice is fermented. The wine is then aged for 6-months in steel tanks before being aged in the bottle.
