To obtain the highest quality of the wine, all the operations are carried out by hand, and the grapes are divided according to quality during collection. Harvesting of the grapes takes place in two separate periods. First, we harvest the Merlot and Syrah. Second, the Sangiovese. Fermentation takes place in cement vats at a temperature ranging from 28°C-30°C/82°F-86°F. The wine is then left to age in oak barrels for at least 12-months.
Quattrorsi della Marronaia, meaning “four bears” in English, is dedicated to our family. It represents the harmony between our original family of four and our attachment to our land, our metaphorical “den”.
