Quarzo della Marronaia


Quarzo della Marronaia is a wine based on  Sangiovese grape, that we wanted to develop starting from our Rosé wine, the Rosa della Marronaia.

The grapes come from the vineyard of Podere la Marronaia, on the hills of San Gimignano, in the heart of Tuscany.

Quarzo della Marronaia is a fresh and sparkling wine, delicate and with hints of fresh fruit, remembering a very light red wine, with shades of cherries, plums, blackberries and tomatoes.


Quarzo della Marronaia is a wine that the Women of La Marronaia created  and though for the Women from all over the World.

The period of harvest is in September. Harvesting is done by hand and the grapes are given in the cellar, with a soft pressing of the grapes. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature not exceeding 17 °.

In the first days of March, sparkling wine is made according to the classic method with bottle fermentation, after which the bottles remain laden for at least 24 months in order to enhance the complexity of the wine.
