della Marronaia

Mille Colori della Marronaia is a wine, based on Vernaccia di San Gimignano, the typical vine of our town, and Chardonnay.

It comes from the vineyard of Podere le Colonne, on the hills of San Gimignano, in the heart of Tuscany. The soil devoid of residues of pesticides, mineralogy, and southeast exposure during the hot Tuscan summer is the ideal habitat for cultivating these grapes.

Mille Colori della Marronaia is a wine of decisive character but with a wrap-around softness on the palate. The alcohol content is 13%, the fresh and fruity flavor makes it a versatile and enjoyable wine at any time.

Mille Colori della Marronaia is also a creation of the two young winemakers of our farm, Pietro and Corrado.

Vinification takes place with soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature. The short wood aging gives delicate scents and tertiary aromas, leaving room for the freshness and vivacity typical of these cheeses.

In the first stage of vinification, we have a clarification / decantation in stainless steel for 48 hours at a controlled temperature. After that, alcoholic fermentation and subsequent wood refining take place for 4 months. The aging in the bottle is at least 2 months.

Mille Colori della Marronaia Is dedicated to life. At its thousand shades, at the energy, the lightness, and the spirit with which we must face it. It is the first wine entirely thought and realized by Pietro and Corrado.

Appearance: bright straw yellow with greenish reflections.

Smell: Very intense and persistent. Varied olfactory, acacia, and citrus flowers intertwine with fragrant mineral notes.

Taste: The palate is soft, fresh, and sustained by a gentle flavor.

Suitable for a pleasant aperitif, it also fits well with light white meat or fish dishes, pasta with vegetables, and fresh cheeses.
