The Sangiovese, authochthonous grape vine, situated in the sunny vineyards of the Marronaia, an ideal position for the development of a better quality of wine.  Some wines are accompanied by Canaiolo nero, Merlot and Syrah.

Composition of land:  medium mixture of Pliocene origin with some  clay and sandy particles.
Average height of vineyard: 280 metres above sea level
Density of plants per hectare:  4000
Type of growth:  Guyot
Grape: 70% Sangiovese, 15% Syrah, 15% Merlot
Wine production:  hand picked and separation of different type of grapes into crates
Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 28°c – 30°c. Further  fermentation in wooden barrels
Refined in wooden barrels: for 12 months
Refined in bottles: minimum 3 months

Sensory analysis

Visual exam:  intense ruby red colour with purple blue reflections
Olfactory exam:  intense and very persistent.  The perfume is characterised by a small hint of mature black woodland fruit with a hint of vanilla and spices
Taste exam:  Good and very elegant.  A perfect balanced taste.  The thick tannin taste is characterised by a mature tannin.  A prolonged final taste.
