The Sangiovese, autochthonous grape vine, situated in the sunny vineyards of the Marronaia, an ideal position for the development of a better quality of wine. Some wines are accompanied by Canaiolo nero, Merlo and Syrah.

Production area: Tuscany Composition of land: medium mixture of Pliocene origin with some clay and sandy particles Average height of vineyard: 280 metres above sea level Density of plants per hectare: 4000 Type of growth: Guyot Grape: 50% Merlot, 50% Sangiovese Wine production: hand picked and separation of each type of grape into crates Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 28°c – 30°c. Refined in wooden barrels for 12 - 15 months Refined in bottles: minimum 6 months

Sensory analysis
Visual exam: very intense ruby red colour Olfactory exam: elegant and very persistent. The perfumes present are very mixed. Distinguishable hint of small red and black woodland fruits, together with a hint of vanilla and spices derived from refinement in barrels. Taste exam: structured and balanced, elegant and determined, with a thick tannin taste of sweet and mature tannins. A prolonged final taste.
